Aim/ Objective of the study

The aim of this study is to assess psychosocial correlates on secondary school student’s academic adjustment in Obio/Akpor local Government Area of Rivers state. Its objectives includes to:

1.  Find out the various psychosocial factors affecting student’s academic adjustment/achievement in Obio/Akpor local Government Area of Rivers state.

2.  Determine the effects of psychosocial problems on the academic adjustment/performance of the student in Obio/Akpor local Government Area of Rivers state.

3.  Find out relationship between students attitudes and their academic adjustment in secondary schools in Obio/Akpor local Government Area of Rivers state.

4.  Determine relationship between students perceived stress and their academic adjustment in secondary schools in Obio/Akpor local Government Area of Rivers state

5.  Find out relationship between students self esteem and their academic adjustment in secondary schools in Obio/Akpor local Government Area of Rivers state

6.  Determine the relationship between students self efficacy and their academic adjustment in secondary schools in Obio/Akpor local Government Area of Rivers state.

7.  Find out relationship between students social support and their academic adjustment in secondary schools in Obio/Akpor local Government Area of Rivers state.
